Pamela Pinskey-Fischer

Director and Co-Owner Pamela Pinskey-Fischer (formerly Pamela Fernandes) is a Graduate of the Community College of Rhode Island with an Associate of Arts degree in 1973 and Roger Williams University in Bristol RI with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1976.

Pamela and her husband John Paul opened Sea Side School in 1983 to help provide a place in the community for young children to gain a good strong foundation of learning skills before entering the elementary level of local schools.

In 2013, Pamela was awarded the Distinguished Alumnus/a of the Year Award from Roger Williams University.

As an artist, singer and educator she has brought all levels of the arts into the classroom to integrate the education of children through a media that is fun and helps to build self-esteem.

Pamela is an avid gardener and has provided the children with an enchanted garden space on the school property that is also recognized by the National Wildlife Federation as a Backyard Wildlife Space. Pamela also received herbalist certificates from  Rosemary Gladstar of Sage Mountain Vermont  in  “Art and Science of Herbalism”,  Susan Weed of Woodstock NY “Spirit and Practice” and Susan Clements of Rhode Island apprenticeship in “Herbal Practice”.

Pamela creates some herbal products from herbs growing in the school gardens and introduces simple plant medicines to children.

Pamela is currently a member of the St. Michael’s Church choir. She is the Soprano section leader, the director of the children’s Angel Choir and assistant to the director of The Royal School Church Music program at St. Michael’s parish Bristol R.I. Pamela is a registered teacher of “Music Together”.

A Mother of two grown children, grandmother and teacher with over 30 years of experience; she puts that experience and knowledge into action when building the schools curriculum.
