 Director and Co-Owner Pamela Fernandes is a Graduate of  the Community College of Rhode Island with an Associate of Arts degree in 1973 and Roger Williams University in Bristol RI with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1976.

Pamela and her husband John Paul opened Sea Side School in 1983 to help provide a place in the community for young children to gain a good strong foundation of learning skills before entering the elementary level of local schools.

As an artist, singer and educator she has brought all levels of the arts into the classroom to integrate the education of children through a media that is fun and helps to build self-esteem.

Pamela is an avid gardener and has provided the children with  an' enchanted' garden space on the school property that is also  recognized by the National Wildlife Federation as a Backyard Wildlife Space. Pamela also received an herbalists certificate in 2002 in the Art and Science of Herbalism from Rosemary Gladstar of Sage Mountain Vermont.

Pamela creates some herbal products from a few of the  herbs growing in the gardens.

Pamela is currently member of the Greater Tiverton Community Chorus and holds a position on the Board of Trustees for that chorus.

  A Mother of two grown children, grandmother and teacher with over 30 years of experience; she puts that experience and knowledge into action when building the schools curriculum.
